keybindings no longer work after upgrading to hg-2700

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. exec /usr/bin/wmii

What is the expected result? What do you see instead?

working keybindings. Dragging windows by titlebar with mouse still works.

What version of the product are you using (wmii -v)? On what operating
system (uname -a)?

wmii-hg2700
Debian linux 5.0 2.6.26-2-amd64

Please provide any additional information below.

previous working version was:

wmii-hg2691

I suspect it may have something to do with the wmiirc; possibly because
/tagrules is removed

If the last working revision was 2691, it's not to do with /tagrules. It 
wouldn't
matter, anyway, so long as you don't 'set -e' in wmiirc. Do you have a working 
wmiir?
