Currently, all strings seem to be hard-coded as English.  If you guys haven't 
already started pulling those out into message files, I'm happy to provide a 
patch.

It also appears as though the various calls to `speak` doesn't correctly 
provide a locale, meaning that non-English words will be pronounced strangely 
(if not incomprehensibly).
