Downloading database as csv into Excel fails to recognize the different columns #123

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Import Simona's emigration database
2. Download it as a .csv file into Excel
3. Notice how many of the fields for each entry are not separated into
individual columns, instead having a funny 'question mark in a box' character
where there should be a new column break. Some breaks between fields are
recognized as a new column, others aren't.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect that each field in an entry is given it's own column.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version of VIDaaS released on 9th Feb (without a visible version number again),
on Firefox on Windows XP. Excel 2007.
