KSR bit does not disable the key scaling when off, as you corrected in the doc yourself, I have fixed that
In your comment about Opal not supporting percussions, it can lead to confusion; it does not support the 5 dedicated rhythm channels, but supports percussion on the general purpose channels
Wohlstand has not made the C++ version of Java OPL, I believe some Doom people made it, but it was adapted for standard C++ without external dependencies
About Opal, it suffered a terrible bug of KSL handling which we fixed in libADLMIDI. I wouldn't say it would "replicate music" composed in that tracker. If anything, it's this major bug which makes it different of other emulators; otherwise it's not too far off Dosbox fidelity in fact. (according to Reality, RAD tracker will include the KSL fix in future releases)
