Unable to record audio! #29

Dear Developer: I have a question for you, I am using adljack, screen recording can not record adljack audio! Can't open other synthesizers either!

Wohlstand commented 3 weeks ago

Hello! Which audio source you used to capture the output? You probably need to use the "Monitor of ..." audio source to record that. Anyway, sounds like the problem is on the JACK side and it's need to check out something here. On my end JACK just doesn't work and I use the adlrt with ALSA, and it gets perfectly captured by everything.

When I open it on Windows 7, he takes over my sound card, leaving other synthesizers unable to make a sound, but Bandy's screen recordings don't record the sound he makes!

Wohlstand commented 3 weeks ago

Sounds like the thing was built with the use of ASIO... try to make it use WASAPI or DirectSound instead.

ADG664 commented 3 weeks ago

So how do we change it?

Wohlstand commented 3 weeks ago

I did some just now: https://github.com/jpcima/adljack/commit/5f7a7b20b0eab00aa698481a388e828ae3beac66

So, you can try to build this out and verify on your end.

To be honest, I still like the ADLplug of "jpcima", he looks like a shiny synthesizer in reality! Very powerful Not to mention, there is also a strong compatibility, unfortunately he has stopped updating and stayed in 1.2.0!

Wohlstand commented 3 weeks ago

The problem that jpcima didn't left me the write access to ADLPlug too, so, very soon I go to take some of his repos to the organisation and combine with my projects. Unfortunately, jpcima unexpectedly disappeared after September of 2022 and nobody knows where is he.

ADG664 commented 3 weeks ago

Despite some minor issues with the “ADLplug” process, he is still my workhorse MIDI source synthesizer, and I will be waiting for him to update and return!

ADG664 commented 3 weeks ago

I found that the "ADLplug" sound core is too old, and the sounds produced by some instrument sounds are wrong。

I tried it recently, but it still doesn’t work!
