Not sure if this is the same thing, but I was messing around with NFS:U on PCSX2, noticed that lowering EE Cyclerate improved FPS a lot, and remembered this post about changing the EE Clock Speed ("cycle rate/clock speed same thing yah?") post I saw a while back. I compiled Play!, messed around with it a little, and it doesn't seem to greatly effect stability, but it did make most games that run poorly much more playable. Also you have to times it instead of dividing it for some reason.
Results: (Vulkan only, OpenGL isn't good enough in most games) (x2=30 FPS/x3=20FPS/x4=15 FPS/x8=7.5FPS) Gran Turismo 3, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, CoD WaW Final Fronts: No effect beyond audio being tied to lower framerate. SpongeBob BfBB(x8): Massive input delay due to 7.5FPS, haven't extensively tested, wanted to see what would happen at x8. NFSU2(x2): Was stuck in (animated) loading screen with ability to drive car in background. I press Pause and opened the Options (blind) and it fixed itself. Haven't tested extensively. Nicktoons Unite! (x2 and x4): No issues. NFSMW (x2, x3, and x4): Map has occasional loading issues depending on framerate you choose. Game has built in "Loading" when you get near an unloaded part of the map so it's not horrible. NFSUndercover(x2 and x3): Same issue MW has, however game lets you partially drive over unloaded map before freezing and loading it in which often results in your car being reset. Could cause issue for large Sprint races.

Side Note: Could you please improve the build/compile instructions? I'm not lying when I say it took me 5 hours of brute force to get it to compile <.>. I literally had none of the programs and had no clue what programs I needed... Probably didn't help that I downloaded the Master on Github (which does not compile). Would also be nice if we could get more variables/options in the UI.
Can you add an option to lower the emulated cpu clock speed like in dolphin emulator? This is useful for low-end devices.
