I've mapped the buttons and analog sticks of my 8BitDo N30 Pro 2.
My feedback on that is that it's extremely fidgety to get right, for example L3/R3 buttons get mistaken for X or Y axis when I try to hold them down and it's very hard to press them so precisely that the program doesn't think I want to map an analog axis to them. This problem doesn't happen elsewhere, for example RetroArch.
Also, holding start for 3 seconds is the "switch off" function for my joypad, and that's an unfortunate clash with how button mapping works in Play!
I managed to get all that done, but when I start a game it seems like analog left/up are constantly pressed, so whenever I move the analog stick down (eg to select the language in Castlevania) the in-game cursor will just go back all the way up as soon as I release the stick.
In the name entry screen I can move the cursor around but when I leave it the cursor goes back to "A" in the upper left corner. In-game character also moves forward/left.
