Menu/Prologue cutscene plays out fine with mild-moderate visual issues, that is, relative to the issues in the rest of the game. 1.
The scene appears incomplete but most of the the things that are on display look more or less as they should. Some examples of things that are glitched or missing below:
Glitched eyes as usual with Jak games.
Glitched/missing jet engine flames/smoke for the hover transport.
Desert floor missing.
Sand/dust storm missing.
Shadows missing.
In the menu screen there's no text but menu navigation works.
Both starting a new game and loading existing save data work.
The intro/opening cutscene is.............much less recognizable than the prologue 2.
There are visible models and what you can see of their colors and shapes generally seem right but the textures have thick black lines all over them.
Ingame the only things you can really see and interact with are the various HUD elements. The HUD also appears to smear its afterimages into the background anytime it's visible 3.
The smearing might be caused by the same thing as the frame blending/motion-blur regression I've noted in these games: #136, #254, #555, and #560.
BGM and SFX present (might only be some SFX but hard to tell at 1fps).
Minimap is initially visible but it also shouldn't be visible here (arena fight) AFAIK ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It smears and goes black after a while. I also never saw it update the cursor indicating player position when loading this save or a save where minimap actually was supposed to be visible.
Game responds to inputs:
Ingame/start menu not visible; pressing start tints onscreen elements yellow and the selection sfx can be heard when navigating the menu but no part of the menu other than that yellow tint is visible.
Opening and closing ingame menu clears away anything smeared on the frame.
Displaying HUD with L3 works.
Shooting with R1 brings up the gun HUD, reflects your decreasing ammo, and plays shooting SFX.
Cycling through all the different guns with d-pad works.
The guns themselves aren't visible but you can see that the HUD icon in the upper right-hand corner is updated with the corresponding gun.
Note: I'm not sure whether intro or ingame best describes the status.
It truly does go ingame, with BGM and SFX, no less........you just can't see it and can only hear a soundbite once every 30-60 seconds or so. :smirk:

3. Ingame - Since the game is hardly ingame at all I'll point out each little thing that indicates it's actually ingame.
i. What it looks like ingame, you can watch a short video herea. Upon loading ingame you see a desert backdrop (carried over from main menu?), two planes or w/e they are, and the HUD.
b. Ammo meter (below the gun icon in the weapons HUD) starts with three bars and depletes as the gun is fired until the meter is empty.
d. Cycling through the gun mods and fire the blue gun until I deplete two bars of ammo.
ii. You can also listen to a recording of the audio here, I removed the extended periods of silence between each soundbite to shorten it from almost an hour to around 30 seconds but otherwise left it as it was.
