As of Version 0.30-d065c344 (Jun 27 2019) this game is "state-ingame" on Windows x64.

Some issues exist, namely background texture/screen becomes corrupted when character portraits are brought to the foreground during dialog sequences.

Has the same issue as PCSX2 with the frame around character faces, during dialog sequences. image

Audio has cracking and popping, general static

Running up or down uses wrong animation. image

World map is missing textures on some of the 3D models image

Also Title should be [SLUS-21788] Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica or [SLUS-21788] Ar Tonelico 2: Melody of Metafalica

Thanks for the updated report!

The animation issues are quite strange (floating point error? #868 has the same problem). Is everything working good in battles?

Zenjir0 commented 5 years ago

I didn't go to far into the game to do all the battle mechanics, but the tutorial was doable.

Only issue was some staggering/jitter during play, which I figured might have only been Video/Audio sync issues.

No graphical glitches were perceived during battle play, as of the build 0.30-d065c344.

Edit: Near identical issues as https://github.com/jpd002/Play-Compatibility/issues/876

image it seems that the background corruption has changed, instead it shows the previous splash screen on phase change (in ps2 it should be a black transparent overlay)

version is v0.30-245ad706, others should be the same as what'd been reported

note: This one is using Project Metafalica retranslation patch

@darkash You beat me to it. I was going to wait one more month for a 1yr anniversary of changes to see the progress that has been made.
