When testing with Windows 7 x86-64 (and also Android x86-64 via Nox) I was unable to reproduce the smearing shown in the above video whether I used older builds from October or current builds. I was however able to reproduce it when testing on an Android ARMv7 device(had to use save state to avoid a crash).

So I guess the smearing issue only affects ARM (or GLES) devices?

That said, in recent builds the smearing on ARM devices has been greatly reduced; on ARMv7 there's still some smearing but it no longer obscures everything. I haven't tested on ARMv8 but I expect it'd be either the same as ARMv7 or closer to how it looks on desktop.
