WIP: Add support for parent proxies #28

Hi,

I've added support for parent proxies (cache_peer) including authentication. Please let me know if this is something you would merge so I can add docs.

Sorry, I haven't been following up PRs in a while!

Since I don't have a lot of time to maintain this project, I have another proposal for you: I can add a link to your fork in the README, so that if people are looking for a version with more features, they can use yours? Let me know what you think. (You can even directly submit a PR against the README file if you want!) Meanwhile I'll close this PR.

But thanks again for the contribution, and sorry that I don't have more time to dedicate to curate your contribution and those of others!
