When you look at the dark grey region (which contains the red circle)... I'm not sure, but that didn't use to be that dark,... actually I think it used to be the standard light grey.

This doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong now,... it just somehow different and I've noticed it ;-)

I've just tested it with 6.0.3, it looks even worse: 2014-10-09-111900_164x144_scrot

You see that it's worse with 6.0.3. The message from Christoph Anton Mitterer is about what version?

Probably, 6.0.1. But that doesn't necessarily mean there's a regression, it may be some different config elsewhere.
