Team C6:

Marie: To complete your core map functionality, I think you should add a filtering feature in order for users to be able to see different categories as well as previous restaurants they have visited. Since there could be a lot of categories, this would help simplify the UI. Since your app is primarily food based, I also think it would make more sense to connect to Yelp. By connecting to yelp you could also use yelps features, such as checking in, showing pictures, etc.

Jessica: To complete core group/map interaction of your team's web app, is that you should place markers of the places they checked in for the foods that they favorited, so that when they have choose to eat their favorite foods again they could see the places that they have/haven't been to when your app refreshes after each day's use. Since the icons are defaulted to the same one since it's all about food, it would be nice to differentiate what types of food is being searched for like drinks have a cup icon and fancy food items with plate and utensil set. Maybe could show a roadmap of where the users' favorite food places are and could encourage them to eat other things nearby them that suit their palates.

Regina: To complete your core map functionality, I think you should change the list of favorite restaurants into something that is easier for searching. Imagining you have a really long list restaurants that you pinned, it will be hard to find a specific restaurant. My suggestion is to have a search box or filter with ranked lists based on the frequency the user goes to that restaurant. So the user can find the most frequently visited restaurant on the top. The user should also be able to delete the their pined restaurants. Also the word font for laptop version is a little bit too small. In addition it will be great if it can import data form yelp since more people are using yelp for food searching other than google.
