1 month ago It's easy to add categories and there isn't really any downside to doing so as they don't have to be used, although they do take up space in the selection box on the RHS of event creation, more categories = more scrolling:
Grouping into hierarchies helps a bit here, with two already: BOF Level and Event Series. What would be a suitable top-level item to group sprint, urban, etc? Here's the current set as grouped:
Should we have another set of categories, nice simple ones with no links this time, for 'sprint', 'middle', 'urban'? At present I put these into the event names, but separating them out might be neater. No need for categories for 'long' and 'forest' since these are defaults.
Could also consider 'score' and 'relay'.
No rush on this as we could go live without and introduce later if we wanted.
