I just gave the code a brief review and 2 things come to mind.

We need to test and demo this so need a server with the lighttp setup to do it.
I wonder if this is would be better implemented through the proposed player plugins system #266

Would you be able to show an example of it in use please and also give a little documentation in the reply as to how you use it. It looks like you give the flv url and then it deals with making new requests when you change the currentTime.

For now i'm putting this PR on hold for now. And add the label to try measure interest.
