Missing DLL: MSVCP100D.dll #2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. downloaded 1.5.1 x86 windows
2. unzipped
3. ran install

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
cmd window opens, then new window opens: Failed to start because MSVCP100D.dll 
could not be found.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.5.1 on XP SP2
I'm on a corporate image, so SP level is not up to me.

Same on WIndows 7 Enterprise x64.
I've installed vcredist_x64 from MS, this did not help.

I have the same problem, both on Windows XP SP2 (the x86 version) and on 
Windows 2008 R2 (the x64 version)

Same issue here. Running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Tried the x86-64 and x86 files,

You can download the dll although I have copied on c:\windows\system32\ the 3 
files that I copied on the same directory on Win XP, msvcp100d.dll, 
msvcr100.dll and msvcr100d.dll, and on XP it worked but on windows 7 I have 
another issue.
Anyone know how to use paping on win 7 x64?

The D version of the DLL is a Debug version, so you made a debug build. Please 
make a release build (in the UI set to Release) and build :)

Yeah, I was having the same problem. It still showed up... in the x64 version. 
Try the win 32 bit version even if your running win 64. Worked for me.

Just want to add that the 64 bit version is still looking for MSVCP100D.dll. 32 
bit version works just fine. So the issue is not fixed with version 1.5.5. If I 
could suggest that instead of creating a utility that requires dependencies, it 
is far better to create a stand alone utility or include an installer routine 
that installs whatever run-time dependencies required. Although I'm surprised 
that such a simple utility needs to have such a thing.

Ditto. Issue continues. I'm guessing this product is no longer being enhanced 
(and a strong possibility its no longer being supported).  Granted - I haven't 
searched beyond this forum for any additional resources or pointers that 
indicate whether or not this freeware has gone end-of-life 'officially'; 
migrated to a new home and\or has become paid.  Regardless - it's obvious that 
it's been well over a year since there's been a new version made available; nor 
is there any indication of any level of support -- provided by either the 
developer, community, or otherwise since spring of 2011.  

Highly recommend this forum and its dependencies be retired permenantly from 
code.google.com // or at least clearly indicated as being no longer 
active\enhanced.

Yes, it was a nice util.  At least until it was no longer supported.  I suppose 
a simple rebuild in release mode is just too much to ask.

I've a simple solution, remove the Win7 64bit download;  it's effectively bunk.

Windows 8 Professional x64, x64 release reports same issues... I have Microsoft 
Visual c++ Redistributable 2012 installed but still I was unable to run it.
I downloaded attached files, put them in same dir as PaPing and run x86 version 
instead of x64, it worked... Please recompile as release.

I have successfully compiled a 64-bit Release build of this program in VS 2012 
Express. It has been tested on a 64-bit machine running Windows 8.1 and .NET 
Framework 4.0. If anyone is still interested, I wonder if we could get the 
original poster's permission to re-upload, or if we'd be okay doing it as a 
separate project crediting the author.

@bobert...@gmail.com, Will your updated version only run on 8.x x64? I get the 
runtime error on Win7 sp1 x64, except it's msvcp110.dll instead of 
msvcp100.dll. I'm not a VC programmer nor a Windows one but I've been told that 
you can compile it so that it's a stand alone program, I guess it includes the 
library. It seems to me that is the answer, or include an installer. As an 
example, the Sysinternals utilities are all stand alone (although I admit not 
knowing if those are "managed code" or are lower level or whatever the term is. 
I'll try on Win 8.1.

But I do appreciate your contribution and hopefully I'll be able to get it to 
work on 8.1.

Maybe this can be a solution:
Came across similar problem recently. The strangest thing that my resulting DLL 
was dependent upon MSVCR100.dll (without 'D'), which was right because I 
changed /MDd to /MD, but also dependent upon MSVCP100D.dll, which did not seem 
right for the same reason. After long investigation I found that it depends 
upon preprocessor definitions. Changing _DEBUG to DEBUG solved the problem for 
me.
