make model.utility work for nested models #10

exp_utility is not defined for nested models so the current implementation of model.utility fails.

My use case here was to validate the implementation of a model estimated in larch in an external software package.

Thanks for making a contribution! I'll check this out and merge soon. Don't worry about appveyor failing, it's been failing for a while. Something's misconfigured there, and fixing it is a low priority as Larch now has Windows tests hooked in through conda-forge.
