I think it would be nice to put some background color to force the user to pay attention to the messages.

I'm trying to make your Add work. But I can not. Could you give me some doubts?

Is it compatible with Alfresco Community 5.2.f (Build: 201707)?

I'm using another AddOn (resetPassword-share AMP project), which also modifies the Alfresco login screen. Can this cause some error in your Add?

In the Alfresco logs I do not think anything related to AddOn Announcements.

Would you help me ?

This add-on is not yet compatible with Alfresco Community 5.2.f due to the change in how the login screen is coded in that release.
