Unfortunately I am unable to devote time and resources to this project like I'd like to. I'm looking for a couple of people to help maintain this project. If you're interested, please post here.

No problem, glad to have you back! There's a few things that I'd like to help with to get us to the next version.

Any progress on this @jprichardson?

Do you have a new maintainer. Npm now complains about security issues when installing: https://nodesecurity.io/advisories?search=string&version=3.3.3

We could really do with a new release and you have 21 PR's outstanding.

(btw thanks for using your free time and hard work building this open source library in the first place)

Here's a list of the methods the new maintainer should keep, in relation to the current state of ECMAScript:

No progress, I'd love a new maintainer; I'm not able to prioritize this package.

I'd gladly offer to help. I've already started on an extension project: https://github.com/unicorn-fail/string-extra as well as converting this original module to ES6 (that will be bundled with it) in an effort to avoid the harsh "vulnerability" message npm spits out now.

@markcarver thanks. Please post your npm name here.

It's markcarver as well 😄
