Try using F, T, etc will holding a wand and nearby workers. Confirm they respond

Workers should be commandable via wands like any minion

It's true that the workers cannot be commanded by the wand. But, should they be? Perhaps adding a shift to differentiate would be good eg. SHIFT+F = workers follow
