I just learned this lesson today, but I believe the example is correct with fu
.
We need "your teaching method" as a sumti. The place structure of ctuca
is:
x1 teaches audience x2 ideas/methods/lore x3 (du'u) about subject(s) x4 by method x5 (event)
So we need to pull x5 to x1, i.e. use xe
. The place structure of xe ctuca
would be something like:
x1 (event) is the teaching method for audience x2 regarding ideas/methods/lore x3 (du'u) about subject(s) x4 by teacher/instructor x5
Since do
is the teacher not the audience, we need to link it at the x5 place, which is best done using fu
: lo xe ctuca be fu do
. If you don't like the fu
you can try something like lo xe ctuca be zo'e bei zo'e bei zo'e bei do
maybe?
If you omit the fu
and just say lo xe ctuca be do
, this jufra would mean "the method employed to teach you", instead of the intended "the method you employed for teaching".
Please provide your feedback here... Hello, in the last example "I like your teaching method.", shouldn't the answer be "mi nelci lo xe ctuca be do", so without "fu"? I think that we need x1 sumti so "teacher", not the "teaching method", we just used it writing "lo xe ctuca".
