IMHO, ambiguous English translation: what's/who's

rinka x1 (event/state) effects/physically causes effect x2 (event/state) under conditions x3

gasnu x1 [person/agent] is an agentive cause of event x2

There was another exercise where I failed, "What caused the explosion?", where I chose gasnu, because I thought it fit, not thinking about a person/agent being involved.

Here I thought there is no "who's causing the problem", unless "it" was meant as the cause.
