Is there a version newer than 1.12.1 from 2016? #560

I'm trying to upgrade our site to jQuery 3.4.1 and it seems there hasn't been a jQuery UI release since 2016 (v1.12.1)

There are no news on the website.

There are some commits - with effort to upgrade to newer jquery version - in the repo (but it doesn't have an issues board).

It seems there has been a 1.13 pre-release maybe but not sure.

Is there anything happening ever again?

I know there has been a lot of effort that went into this project in the past (and even still) - would be a shame to just silently fade away and leave some long-term users hanging.

Hey. Resources in the UI team are much, much lower than they were in the past. For a long time, nothing was happening in UI and you're right the latest release is from 2016. We're working to update UI to work fine with newest jQuery versions and the majority of that work was done. We've also recently fixed the UI Download Builder. When we finalize updates for jQuery compatibility, we'll plan the 1.13 release. I can't provide an exact timeline as this depends on available time and many other factors.
