Display styles not obeying the positioning picker #528

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

For whatever reason, the display styles are defaulting to the top right corner
and not obeying the positioning picker in 2.0.

I have this same issue. Display style is crystal. But the other poster tried
several others. I tried moving to lower right and left to no avail. The
Preference window shows I have selected the other locations. Updated to latest
Mountain Lion before updating to Growl 2.

Can confirm this bug too. It's a pretty major issue for me!

Fixed In Source for 2.0.1 as of 9dc1add584fd

Details:
We create a copy of the configuration dictionary to pass off to the plugin, if
the plugin has had absolutely no other configuration done to it, then we don't
have a dictionary to copy, and thus, no dictionary to add the position or
config ID information to. We now create the dictionary if we don't have one to
start with to add the values to for position and config ID.

Workaround until 2.0.1 is released: Modify settings on your plugin, tweak a
time on screen, or a color or an opacity and that will cause it to obey the
location preference.
