Goal of Program: To teach SDRs the technical landscape, GitHub and Devops to the point that they can have a sales conversation comfortably around these topics.

Notes:

• Can you have an entire discovery call by yourself?
• High level of explanation of SAML and SCIM > this is what you need to understand to get into CSR/AM role.
• Link to issue with a breakdown on what roles should know what.
• The GitHub Value Prop will be the over arching theme through all of the trainings whern it comes to the quizes. Ex: Devops and Devops 2.0 - Why would the Github value prop impact these roles? /Devops/ etc..

First Step: Understanding the tech landscape

  1. Filling out the traditional outline with three roles that fall under each
  2. Describe what the roles do within their teams
  3. Pick 3 under Jason (non-manager)
  4. What their role is
  5. What they work on
  6. What they care about
  7. Write those three people an outbound email

Deep dive - provide a worksheet to take notes and explain each role for app dev, info, devops

First step:

• How do we get a better baseline of knowledge around conversations
• A better understanding of DevOps (ex: org chart of CTO, VP, and who reports to them, for example, infrastructure architect)
• App Dev/Infrastructure Dev and their bosses - what they work on and why

Second Step

• Prevent the rabbit hole of courses on how to be an engineer. This won’t help you do your job better. SO >
• Build a guide of topics that will have you be more educated about GitHub technically. (Will be relevant for SE potentials at GitHub)
  • understanding azure
  • Understanding virtual machines and what goes with that
  • DEEP dive of GitHub.com . Ex: how to set up CICD Third Piece - the Bonus Round
• Getting Your AWS Cert
• Getting Your Azure Cert
• etc.

Action items: Georgia to bring a list of resources and what folks will get out of it. Access from Cory to SE training program Georgia to take stab at devops 2.0 deck by mid next week

• [ ] Georgia to build the third training "GitHub is the Best Because..." tentative title lol but will showcase a devops env of two customer personas:

  1. Person who has a messy dev ops cycle (many disconnected tools/etc)
  2. Person who uses GitHub

  And will accomplish the following:

  1. GitHub as a Platform: Help reps understand how GitHub can be connected to many aspects of the SDLC
  2. Collaboration on GitHub: Illustrate collaboration on GitHub and how this can be difficult when not using GitHub (innersourcing, reuse of code, documentation, etc..)
  3. How GitHub is Different: Without getting into too much of a competitive conversation, we will show how GitHub is unique and essential for organizations
