[Forge Mod] Aether II menu tabs #179

Not sure if this should be a priority, or if it's even fixable, but the inventory tabs within the Aether II mod aren't appearing within ViveCraft.

The screenshots below show the non-Vive version (with the Aether II tabs at the top middle of the screen) and the ViveCraft version with the tabs missing:

Oddly enough, the tab buttons are actually still there within the Vive version, and in fact can be clicked assuming you can guess where they are above the menu.

It should also be noted that the chat screen's tabs actually do initially display, but will disappear as soon as you press one.

This bug is present within the Forge version of ViveCraft, using the latest version of the Aether II mod on both single player and multiplayer.

how about if you go into VR Settings > HUD Options and turn 'Menu Background' on?

@jrbudda That actually does work. I've played with that option before, and I don't know why it didn't occur to me to try it out.

Is it possible to show that UI element when 'Menu Background' is off (since having it on is somewhat annoying), or is that an issue with Aether II's menu implementation? The fact that the chat tabs display properly even with 'Menu Background' off (at least initially) makes me think that it's possible, but I don't personally have an intimate knowledge of Forge's inner workings.

The problem is on Aether II's side, I don't know what they're doing but it's definitely something stupid, and there's probably not much we can do about it. Budda, care to shed some light on why the manu background would fix it?

I actually encountered a vanilla bug related to the menu background, and I have an idea. Going to post a build soon.

Nevermind, the fix I thought of is actually already there, so clearly it doesn't fix it. Hmm...
