Add getModel method to fix Method getModel not present error in the Windows machine (XAMPP). The method simply return null.

Merged, but it'd be cool if we could determine this info somehow, maybe using the existing COM/etc logic in the windows class

yes. I would like to do this. but for now it's for temporary fixing the error. COM is still new for me.
