1) What version of rubyripper are you using? On what operating system?

Linux Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10/Rubyripper 5.7.-1.

2) Are you using the gtk2 or the commandline interface?

gtk2

3 + 4) not relevant

Please provide any additional information below.

> Match all chunks [..] It can't be set lower than 2. If you don't want to
use the test & copy feature, use another ripper.

Being categoric is restrictive. Why don't you let the audiophile users the
choice? As an audiophile enthusiast, Rubyripper is my only ripper software.
However I do also, from time to time, need to do some dirty rips (i.e.
fast). I don't want to use SoundJuicer and even less Brasero in addition to
Rubyripper, just for that matter. EAC on Windows gave this choice and that
was great.

Well, I believe a rubyripper rip should have a certain quality stamp. Therefore
this
won't be supported as already stated in the manual.

Hi boukewoudstra,

I have read the manual, I mentioned it. Agreed, but why not being also
practical, and
keeping the options open? 0 (Zero) for a quick rip and 2 (Two) over for a
quality rip.

Quality is implied by the soft capability, the codecs used and the presets more
than
by forcing users to respect a setting level (or moving on) Don't you think?
