Updated notebooks from v3 to v4 #7

Includes some minor edits. Including adding .gitignore file @jrjohansson @hodgestar

It's up to @jrjohansson whether he wants to merge this PR, if he is happy, I'd also like to ask you to contribute them to our qutip-notebook update project that is taking place at https://github.com/qutip/qutip-tutorials.

The process for contributing them to the qutip-tutorials repository is a bit different. We'd want you to convert the original notebooks to the markdown notebook format, and then submit those in a PR that also contains the fixes in a separate commit, so that we can see the history of the updates nicely.

I created an issue in the new repository for importing this notebooks a few days ago -- https://github.com/qutip/qutip-tutorials/issues/14.
