License change, clang-format, improved cmake and conan support #63

This PR makes the following change:

Change the license to BSD-2-Clause
Switch to submodules for cmake folder and .travis folder
Added clang-format and applied it to the code (this combined with the submodule change make for a big diff)
Improve CMake scripts using a "modern" CMake approach, the minimum required CMake version is now 3.1
Add support for the Conan packaging system, binary packages are only provided for Ubuntu 16.04. Other platforms only have source recipe

The PPA has been updated with packages for 14.04, 16.04 and 18.04
