I did some quick testing on the latest 2.9.3 release. The Droid 2 with CM9
(Android 4.04) worked fine. I enabled "respond to audio jack", audio jack was
added, it responded when I plugged in a headset. I then unchecked "respond to
audio jack", the service restarted after I exited preferences, and the device
now ignored audio jack. Just like designed.

However, I tried this on my Droid 3 with Android 2.3.4 and it would not respond
to audio jack, ever. That is of course opposite of the issue reported here but
a problem none the less.

I am mentoring a First Robotics team for the next 6 weeks. I will have no time
to look into this until after that. Please be patient.

OK, I found my Droid 3 problem. A big chunk of lint was in the audio jack
preventing connection. I fixed that and it all worked properly now.

I cannot duplicate your problem. Please install 2.9.3 and retest. It is
available in the downloads tab on this website. Please report back results
after testing with 2.9.3.

One other thing I just remembered. Make sure you back out of the preferences
screen in order for preferences to take effect. I doubt this is the problem
though since the service is stopped when you enter the preferences screen but I
just wanted to make sure you are doing that.

I have not heard back from the person who posted this issue. Did 2.9.3 fix
your issue? If not, did you also check the things above? Also, you MUST
uncheck "respond to audio jack" in the preferences. Then you can also delete
the "audio jack" device but only after you uncheck "respond to audio jack". If
I do not hear back in the next couple days, I will cancel this issue.
