Mystery force close on Corts Droid #16

When Cort installed the last V1.0 of the software it force closed when he 
started the service.  Happened repeatedly.  After he opened the preferences and 
configured a few things it worked fine.  His Droid has Sapphire OS.  However, 
we also tried it on another Sapphire phone at the same time and it worked fine.

As many pertinate details as I can provide:

Was using a previous version of application.
Moved the previous version of the application to the SD card.
Downloaded and installed the new version as of 2010_10_26 at 11:xx pm.
Tried to run the service...repeated force closes even after (multiple) reboots.
After configuring the new "preferences" (I configured all of them), the service 
successfully started without a force-close.

More details to reproduce the problem.

Fresh install of v1.0
Turn bluetooth on
Click Find Devices
Click Start Sevice
