👍 We have an annual cleanup task that will run next month that locates all the registered subdomains that aren't active and removes them. It validates no only missing repos but also sites that are otherwise not working or have no content.
Could the repository be private? Maybe that’s why some are returning 404.
@mzaini30 Hi, I am the owner of https://github.com/hifocus/www.hxis.me
. The repository was set to private since I don't want to maintain an extra open source project - you will have to think about how to write each commit message and a nice README etc.
Unless required I would like to keep the repository private.
@MattIPv4 I just want to check if I keep the site contentful and active while closed-source - will it be ok?
As long as the js.org domain returns valid content and doesn't redirect to a non-js.org domain, you should be fine.

As per I mentioned in https://github.com/js-org/js.org/issues/4718#issuecomment-706694189, can you also answer that quesiton? Thanks.
Closed source is fine, as long as when the site is requested (xxx.js.org) it returns valid content and does not automatically redirect to a non-js.org subdomain.

Sorry I linked the wrong comment. I just want to know since NS setup is no longer supported, if I want a separate js.org subdomain to run other open-source related services, can I apply for more? Is there a soft/hard limit on how many js.org subdomains can a person apply in total?
There isn't really a limit, just be sensible and ensure what you're requesting is appropriate content for js.org (somewhat related to JS etc.)
Sure. Many thanks for answering.
@indus checking in -- are you happy for me to kick off the annual cleanup script? (The validation & issue creation part).
Sure. I'm curious to see how long the list is this time.

198 subdomains failed: https://github.com/js-org/js.org/issues/5384
Will close this issue now as that issue supersedes it.
