VS code error (email issue) #9

Open Max-Cannon opened 5 years ago

Max-Cannon commented 5 years ago

Error pop-up reads: "Cannot read property 'email' of undefined" (even after logging into Firebase successfully via VS Code Firebase pop-up).

jsayol commented 5 years ago

Hi @MickhaelCannon, thanks for reporting this. Sorry to hear you're having issues with it.

Does anything show up on the left-side pane when you select the firebase icon? Can you see your account and your projects, or is the list empty?

choephix2 commented 5 years ago

I'm having the same issue, no nothing shows up in the Side Bar -- the accounts & projects pane remains empty

choephix2 commented 5 years ago

I am using the code-server project, not native desktop vscode (https://github.com/cdr/code-server) This probably has something to do with it. If it does, do you have plans for support in the future?

jsayol commented 5 years ago

@choephix2 thanks for that info! I'll look into it.

jorgeartigas commented 4 years ago

Same issue here using desktop vscode, also empty list when clicking firebase icon

@jsayol - nothing shows up in the Side Bar -- the accounts & projects pane remains empty...

emgould commented 4 years ago

Same here. email of undefined error

franck-noahk commented 4 years ago

Getting the same issue on Windows 10. I got it working a few months ago on my mac but I am not sure if it is related to the os version differences or if it is related to different versions.

@jsayol I receive "No Firebase projects found" any tips on helping you debug?

pmontp19 commented 4 years ago

Same here, "No Firebase projects found". Checking the devtools, I see that the login is successful but an error i raised when refreshing projects list.

How we can help debugging it?

mesmin commented 3 years ago

kindly inquiring. Is there a fix to the original issue posted? "Cannot read property 'email' of undefined"

Evertt commented 3 years ago

I'm having the same issue.

victorwads commented 3 years ago

I'm having the same issue.

VSCode: 1.50.1 FirebaseCli: 8.14.1 Google Cloud SDK: 317.0.0

BradAndreBurns commented 3 years ago

It's like there's nothing to parse - that it can't find any email field in the (windows user path)\.vscode\extensions\jsayol.firebase-explorer-0.3.3\dist\extension.js:255:45606).

Unfortunately, because of this issue, it makes the extension completely unusable for me since it displays nothing in the VS Code sidebar.

I was so looking forward to using this ext, too.

JoeEarly commented 3 years ago

Was working for me at one time but not in a while.

This issue does need fixed t make it usable

chrisfutz commented 3 years ago

Same for me. I get a woohoo successfully logged in page in Chrome, but there is nothing in any of the sections in firebase explorer. I also get this message:

icedice commented 2 years ago

Same. Sadly I found no way of getting this to work.

JoeEarly commented 2 years ago

@icedice this repo is dead it seems. I have been using Firefoo instead. It's not inside VSCode and you have to pay but it is worth the small fee per month
