latency evaluation #46

Thanks for this project. Is there any latency metrics of the feed ? I intend to use a GoPro in a live gesture recognition project and I wonder how much is the latency. (anything beyond 100ms will be a huge problem for me)

Not completely related but I'd also like to know what is the latency or delay of the setup. And it would be nice if we could reduce it somehow. Apparently the laptop webcam seems way more responsive than the GoPro.

I've just tested my hero 9, and the

  1. latency seems to be in few seconds.
  2. The connection is over a USB C cable.
  3. Using it on an high end jetson device (AGX-orin). Is there any way we can reduce the incoming frame size to improve the latency.

Latency is ~500ms on a ubuntu PC with the latest AMD CPU.
