2 years ago Ciocanel et al. (2020) incorporated the following JUSTFAIR database:
The Federal Judicial Center (FJC) has an Integrated Database that contains court docket numbers for each case, which can be used to access the PACER system and retrieve the initials of the sentencing judges. They then ran the initials with name, demographic, and education information of the judges from Wikipedia and linked the FJC Biographical Directory of Federal Judges.
The USSC data just contains info on criminal cases, defendants, and sentences, but there are opportunities for other data to be incorporated into the analysis.
