Why Coffee?

Many people want to have a coffee, especially in the morning when the open space starts many people crave for a coffee. But also after lunch many like to grab a coffee.

How does it work?

Last year we had rented two coffee machines and cups from an external company. The coffee was prepared in two 10 liter "tanks", so we always had warm coffee. If the sponsor for the coffee has a demand for a higher quality coffee or service, the attendees will definitely appreciate it.

For the organizational part: The main contact regarding events at Maiborn-Wolff is out of office until next week, so we have to wait until Monday for further information. What is known: "There is a fully equipped kitchen and I think there are enough coffee cups. But I don't know how they handle it with large external events."

@SS010 can you please update once you had the chance to check internally?

But unfortunately there are not enough cups etc. for 100 people. So additional cups would be great. We will be at the location in mid-April to discuss further details with the sponsor. Hi Sina, (@SS010) so this year we will work with a Barista who will bring a little coffee counter. Before we book him, there are some open questions, which we need to clarify:

• is there a dishwasher nearby, which we can use?
• we would need power supply for the coffee machine
• How many participants do you expect in total this year?
• How many coffee breaks do you usually have per day?

sorry for this late response. The office management was in holiday.

• is there a dishwasher nearby, which we can use? Yes, 2 dishwasher. You can use it.

• We would need power supply for the coffee machine Yes, there are normal powersockets nearby

• How many participants do you expect in total this year? We are calculating with 100 persons.

• How many coffee breaks do you usually have per day? Here I have to quote Wolfram's answer: "the thing is a barcamp/unconference is a so called endless coffee break 🙂 so we don't explicitly do coffee breaks but if they want to calc, I would say: morning, lunch and a bit afternoon. hope this helps" 😃

Hi @SS010, we booked the barista and there are just a few questions regarding the location and the setup of the coffee bar.

• Who is the contact person at Maiborn-Wolff, who will let us in?
• If the Barista starts setting up the bar on Friday, they need to start at 7 am. There would also be the possibility to do the setup on Thursday at 3 pm, if there is someone at the location to let them in.
• Are there parking possibilities, and where? Or is there the change to park in front of the building to unload all the stuff?

Hi @SS010. I just received an email with a few questions concerning the setup at the location from the barista. Would it be possible to provide me with a contact at Maiborn-Wolff? Or would you rather coordinate with the location?

Hi @YvoSaLi , sorry i don't saw the message before.

• Parking possibility: There is an underground parking. He should park in U1 or at the back of the freight elevator. (They must take a parking ticket at the entrance to the underground parking. This is then validated at Maibornwolff)

• Setup: I think Thursday at 3 pm would be better if it's possible for him.

• Contact person/Who will let you in: Drinks are also delivered on Thursday. Someone from the organization team will be present on Thursday. The exact person has not yet been decided. But there will be someone :) I can send you the name and phone number a few days before the setup-date

@YvoSaLi Is it perhaps possible for the barista to come at 7 a.m. on Friday? Another short-term event will take place on Thursday evening. So if it's still possible Friday would now be better.

Hi Sina/@SS010. I just called the coffee provider and asked about the setup on Friday. They have to check with the barista who was booked for Friday. They will let me know, as soon as they have confirmation.

On that note: do you already have the contact information of the person in charge at the location? It would be great if I could forward it to the barista as well.
