Updates all dependencies to the latest versions, except eslint (most of the ecosystem has not caught up yet, and plugins don't work), and applies the related changes.
Switches @socket.io/redis-adapter from my fork back to the official version, as all my PRs were merged.
Closes #506.

@alexey-yarmosh we previously had a problem with newer (4.x) TS versions (#231) but I believe that was resolved by (5e3a2fe), right?
