How about mentioning WTFPL (http://www.wtfpl.net/) somewhere? Just that not a single hint of how i can use the code scares a bit.

Or, there's even a way i prefer (and use at my current project) - http://unlicense.org - essentially public domain waiver.
I personally don't care, though a lot people will - as not mentioning anything related to the terms under which a peice of software could be used raises questions and when you don't really care about law technicalities it actually limits the adoption.
