the number of player areas should be detemined by the chosen number of players. this should also affect the orientation that the screen is locked to (player areas created in a different ticket #15 )
there should be a menu button in the middle of the screen that brings up the menu shown in the designs (menu created in a #16 )
this ticket is mainly about getting the layout and logic of the game screen implemented so that we can just hook the player areas and game menu in when they are completed in their respective tickets
