Option to send messages/notifications to the box #104

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe:

I want to be able to send messages to the Ziggo Next box so that I can use it to send notifications of incoming phone calls on my Ziggo landline. Describe the solution you'd like:

The incoming landline is managed by a Fritzbox 7390. I have a Fritzbox plugin running that acts on the incoming phone call and does an address book lookup for the caller name using the caller id.

The purpose is to send a message to the box with the caller id and caller name. Perhaps an API endpoint to send a REST message to the box.

I noticed that your plugin is sending custom messages to the box. This triggered this request.

I understand that this is not a basic feature. Issued none the less to study the possibility.

I see other use cases for this as well f.i. doorbell ring alerts, notifications from my oven etc.

Hi. Sorry, that is not possible. My plugin has no control over the text displayed on the TV. All it does is send a change-channel command, and the name of the device that is changing the channel. The text is created on the settop box in the language that the settop box is running in.
