Native full disk encryption does not work #133

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to Settings > Security > Screen lock and set a PIN or Password
2. Charge the phone and keep it plugged.
3. Choose "Encrypt phone" in Settings > Security and confirm

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: phone starts encrypting and progress bar shows status
What happens: image of a droid, phone does nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Huawei U8800 with Aurora 4.0.4 version 4.1

To clarify, I and OP are using a community-contributed ROM, see 
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492957. Maybe this is not the 
correct forum for reporting such issues, but maybe it is a sign of a common 
issue.
