Aerophone and .tdo update? #118

And just by chance, I purchased a Roland Aerophone Mini a few months ago!! Good timing apparently...

There is also a users group on FB for the Roland Wind Instruments. https://www.facebook.com/groups/379151979100410/ if you wanted to find any beta testers it'd be a good place to look.

Have you had any luck integrating the .tdo file format into the VDrum Explorer?

Unfortunately I haven't managed to find a MIDI implementation document for the Aerophone Mini - but I doubt that it has the same configuration protocol as the AE-10 and the TD-17/27/50 drum kits, unfortunately - so I don't think I'll be able to support it in V-Drum Explorer. (There's still a lot of work to do just to support the AE-10.)

I haven't yet found a document describing the td0 file format, so there's no progress on that, I'm afraid.

Unfortunately I really don't have enough time to be going to extra lengths to support new instruments. If you fancy getting in touch with Gianluca yourself and adding a link here if there's a MIDI implementation manual around somewhere then be my guest, but I don't want to add to my backlog right now.

It's just possible that I've bought an Aerophone Mini on ebay. Will at least give it a go to see if it responds at all to the SysEx commands I use. If it does, maybe I'll be able to figure out what's going on via the app...

My Aerophone Mini has now arrived, and it looks like it does support the SysEx commands I need. At least, I can ask it what tone it's got... I might have to see what I can do...

I've released 1.0.0-alpha07 now, with highly experimental AE-01 support. Have fun :) (Closing this issue now, as this is all I expect to do around this.)
