Pitch

I want to do a round up on the current years local parliament of the city of Berne. This includes counting and graphing the different types and numbers of parliamentary initiatives that were proposed, which politician was the most active during the current legislature and who talked the most/least.

Summary

Delete this line and summarize your project here (drag and drop images to add them - PDFs won't work, screenshots or png exports are good) bildschirmfoto 2018-08-14 um 02 20 02 So far I have just read in the files with the initiatives into one dataframe and cleaned it.

Now I try (again) to convert the pdf of the protocols and analyze and regex the text - before I totally forget how to do that. At the end an analysis of the talking time for member and party would be nice. Something like this: Tagi_parlament 2.pdf

Hi! One thing about that pdf you shared as an example: it has a broken bar for the biggest value. avoid this at all costs!

Sounds like an interesting project. This sounds like a pretty broad topic. If you're going to narrow it down just to who is speaking most, it might be interesting to know what they're talking about as well.
