Floor area ratio (FAR) is the ratio of a building's total floor area (gross floor area) to the size of the lot upon which it is built. New York City controls and distributes bulk and density of buildings by using this concept. By looking at the difference between allowable FAR and built FAR, I want to figure out how much more do we have left to develop in Manhattan.
