Hi there, I'm the Playfair Bot!
Would you mind posting the appropriate checklist in the main body of your issue? You might have posted it as the first comment, but it turns out it works way better in the actual body of the issue - just go up to the veeery top right and click the pencil icon to edit. You'll probably want to edit the comment to copy the checklist, then edit the original issue to paste it in.
Thanks!

in the title if I need additional dataThese all sound like really interesting graphics. How do they measure most dangerous? Is it murders per capita? Did murders per capita increase in Caracas or decrease in San Salvador for Caracas to become the deadliest?
Do you have a visualization type in mind?
Hi @kbennion thanks for the feedback. So I just went back and fix my pich because it was not very descriptive of what I really have in mind.
To answer to your questions. -Most dangerous cities would be measure by number of intentional killings per 100,000 in cities outside declared warzones. -And... both things happened. Murders in Caracas increased and decrease in San Pedro Sula in Honduras (I had the cities switched, San Salvador is actually the third most dangerous city).
For visualizations, I am still not completely inspired by this one but it is an option!
Thank again for the feedback :)
Interesting issue! I don't know if you have the same data that are depicted in the map above, but besides trying to dig deeper into the reasons behind Caracas being on top on the list, I am also intrigued about the cities in the US (Canada, Europe and most Africa seem to be doing very well in this regard, since no city appears in the top 50). Maybe you could make a comparison of the motives for the violence in each country?

This year Caracas, Venezuela took the place of San Pedro Sula in Honduras as the most dangerous city in the world. Caracas rose to number one with 119.87 murders per 100,000. San Pedro Sula in Honduras which had the top position in 2015, with 171.2 murders per 100,000 people per year dropped to second at 111.03 in 2016.
Maturin, also a city in Venezuela, took the fifth spot on the list. Six other Venezuelan cities are also among the list.
1-Caracas, Venezuela 2-San Pedro Sula, Honduras 3-San Salvador, El Salvador 4-Acapulco, Mexico 5-Maturin, Venezuela
I want to explore this subject. Compare number of deaths in these two cities in Venezuela with that in other countries. Data here: http://www.worldatlas.com/articles/most-dangerous-cities-in-the-world.html http://www.businessinsider.com/most-violent-cities-in-the-world-2016-1/#15-st-louis-had-5923-homicides-per-100000-residents-36 http://www.seguridadjusticiaypaz.org.mx/biblioteca/prensa/send/6-prensa/231-caracas-venezuela-the-most-violent-city-in-the-world
Since this data is very simple and easy to work with I want to go deeper in what's behind Venezuela's 119.87\ murders per **100,000.
Possible additional data to work with What is the most common crime in Venezuela? How many people die a week? What are the deadliest days of the year? How has this changed throughout the years? This venezuela non-profit generates annual reports on violence in the country: http://observatoriodeviolencia.org.ve/category/informes/
Possible headlines Eight Venezuelan cities make the list of top 50 dangerous cities in the world 2015 the deadliest year in Venezuela in the past X years X people die a day from violence in Venezuela
