Proposal for Using Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down in GitHub Issues for Confirming Attendance #432

👋 Hi everyone!

As agreed in the last OCWM #420 I would like to suggest a new approach that aims to improve communication and streamline the process of confirming attendance for our upcoming sessions. I propose implementing a "Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down" system within GitHub issues to simplify attendance tracking. I invite your feedback and thoughts on this proposal.

Context: Currently, when we schedule sessions, it can be challenging to have an accurate understanding of who will be present. To address this issue and enhance our workflow, I suggest implementing a visual representation system using "Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down" reactions in the GitHub issue of the upcoming OCWM.

Proposal: Here's how the proposed system would work:

When a session is scheduled, we create a new GitHub issue that will serve as the central hub for discussion and attendance confirmation. Members of the core team will be encouraged to participate in the issue thread by using either a "Thumbs Up" reaction to indicate their intention to attend or a "Thumbs Down" reaction to signify their inability to attend.
