The name "JSON5" is potentially confusing. People may think that this is the 5th version of the JSON specification when this is not the case. JSON5 is a separate project, no more related to JSON than jsonc, CSON, or any other JSON extension/alternative.
It is perhaps a bit late to change the name now, but would you at least consider making it clearer that this project is not affiliated with the authors of the original JSON specification? This should really be stated on your homepage and README files.
It doesn't help matters that the author of the original JSON specification is named in the credits for JSON5, desite having had no role in this project.
