Given the ECMA-404 standard is also covered by TC39, could/should we submit JSON5/6/... as version updates / proposals? https://www.ecma-international.org/publications-and-standards/standards/ecma-404/

I am open to contacting Ecma regarding this, however I would like approval from @aseemk before doing so.

Sorry for my delay in seeing this. I'm happy to defer to your judgment @jordanbtucker! I have no experience with standards bodies and don't know what to expect here. I'd be very happy to follow your lead. =)
