From the note it's not really clear what the issue is exactly. And skipping 2>&1 will also prevent build and runtime errors from being captured, is there an alternative that powershell users could use?

Unfortunately there's not enough information in this PR to merge it as is. I think it's important to understand the underlying problem before we update the README. If you're still seeing these errors with the latest version, could you open a Github issue so we can find the root cause?
